The Situation of Myopia (Nearsightedness) in Taiwan
There are so many people having Myopia in Taiwan and the situation does not change at all. That means more and more people get myopia. How bad is the situation? For example, there are twenty students taking this class, and only three of us do not have myopia. Everything has its result. There must be some causes of the situation.
There are two main reasons that a lot of people get myopia in Taiwan. One is that there are so many people live in this small island, and the competitions between us are bitter. The other is our education system. Our government wanted to fight back to main land China so they encouraged people to have a lot of children. However, war did not start, and many babies were born; then, they became adults and had their children. That is why there are so many people these days. People need education. Our education system was not good at firs, and so many people need to go to school, and bad things happened.
From the above, we know the two main reasons cause the serious myopia situation in Taiwan, and I will explain why. For the first reason, people like to live in big cities because there are much more jobs in the big cities than in the countries. In order to let so many people live in the cities; apartments are built higher and higher. The distance between buildings and buildings are closer and closer. People in the city do not have chance to see far away to rest their eyes and that is a good way to prevent myopia. They work very hard to earn money to live in the city. They hardly have time to go outside to take a rest, and if they have time, there are not many places to let people exercise in the crowded city so many people tend to stay home watching TV instead of driving so far doing some sports. People use their eyes and do not rest their eyes, and that is not good for eyes at all.
The second reason, students in Taiwan are taught that one must study hard or one will not get a good job. Parents want to see their children perform well in their school, and they give pressure on their children. Students must study very hard to live on their parents’ expectation. They spend most of their time studying. After school, they go home study or go to cram school. They do not have time to take a rest. If they have some free time, they often spend their time watching TV or play computer games. Those do not help their eye resting. Those are why so many people have myopia in Taiwan.
To solve the problem, I think our government must build more parks or place that let us exercise and rest our eyes.

Sweeny Todd
Recently I found the movie DVD in Blockbuster named "Sweeny Todd", starred by Johnny Depp. This movie was produced on Febuary, and I went to see the movie. It says a man,Sweeny Todd, who was circumvented in the jail for fifteen years. His wife and daughter were deprived off, so he wanted to revenge. he used his knife to kill whoever enter his barbershop. At last, beyond everyone's expectation, Sweeny Todd killed his beloved wife by himself unpurposely. And the most pityful, Sweeny Todd never saw his daughter until he's dead. This movie was played mostly by songs, which were sang by all the acters and actress. I think it's a very touching movie although many bloody scenes.
Busy
Sometimes I feel frustrated because of my busy life. I need to handle a lot of business and so many curricular assignments to be finished. I feel so much responsibility and pressure push on me. Since I will be the next leader of movie club, I have to attend every club class and dinner party, which cost me a great deal of time. Fortunately, I have made many friends since I spent more time on extracurricular activities, and it's very meaningful. Although such a busy life I lead, I made an apparent progress in my grades this semester. I hope I can arrange time more propperly next semester.

I found a turtle near my car
Today, I walked to my car and suddenly I found something was moving in the dark on the ground. I was really shocked. I considered that walked toward it or just went home. I wanted to know what it is so I had a deep breath and walked toward it. It did not move when I walked toward it. I kicked it and ran back to see if it moved again. It was dark so I used my cell phone to have some light. I saw a turtle. I was not afraid at all because I already had a turtle at home. I decided to bring it home because if I left it there, it might be dried and died. My turtle had a new friend.

Free writing
This morning I woke up late and because of that I almost got late to class. My alarm clock was broken. I did not know at all. When I felt sunlight shine, it was 9:40 and I had class on 10:00. I got off bed and ran into bathroom to do washing. I don’t like to hurry in the morning, because it makes me quite nervous. I would like to get up earlier and have plenty of time to enjoy some music and my breakfast, but I seldom do so due to not sleeping well. Not sleeping well is a common syndrome in modern life. People are busy at business hours but they can not have their free time to do what they want. For example jogging mountain limbing. Students always spent their time in cram school. Doctors always spend theit time in hospital. Suddenly, I feel that my future career life to be a doctor could be boring. Therefore, I should find something I like now otherwise I might get crazy under the heavy pressure my future job will put on me. I want to learn how to play violin because I think it is cool, and my dream is one day I can play in national band. I think that after I find out my hobby for a lifetime, I will be happy even I have such a heavy job.

I will be the leader of movie club
I will become the leader of movie club next semester. I feel so excited that I will be the leader and we will make a movie by ourselves. Making a movie is not an easy thing. It will take many people and time. Fortunately, my good friends say they will help me to do that and people who love movies will make movie with us. Making a movie is so interesting and I hope we start to do it as soon as possible because I cannot wait for it.
I Don't Like Summer
I don't like summer, for the scorching hot weather. Everytime I go outside the room, no matter whether I am exercising or not, or just take a slow walk, I get wet by my sweat very soon. Thus, I have to bring another one or two extra clothes with me, which is quite inconvenient.
Also, there are some typhoons during summer, and there are usaully some damages or casauties after the typhoons. I feel so sympathetic over these tragedies evertime I watch the news report. These are the reasons why I don't like summer.

It's turtle's day
Recently my brother and I have found that our turtle always feels very bored. The turtle usually hangs around in the dining room, or randomly stops by our bedrooms, without drawing my families' attention, however. Because the turtle can't express its emotion by body languages or voices like other pets, hardly can we understand what's the turtle thinking. As a result, my brother and I occationally forget to take good care to it.
This afternoon, my brother and I decided to take our turtle to the play ground in campus near our house.Our turtle seemed very excited, eagerly looking around the surroundings! We placed it on the ground to let it crawl around freely. Some children saw the turtle, immidiately gathered around it, and wanted to tease the turtle. We also had fun time with those children and our turtle.
We are in deed sorry for it about not paying much attention to the turtle. But our turtle must feel happier today than before.

The Description of an ad
The Magic Show ad is very mysterious and attractive because it shows only some words and simple things. The picture shows mysterious image: a handsome man with a big, bright moon in his left back and the background is all black. The man gives a wanting-to-shake-hand-with-you pose. The pose is really attractive because that makes us want to know what he invite us to join him. The moon and black background imply this interesting thing is not usual. Unusual things always happen at night. The simple words also attract us because it only shows the names of the factories that raise the ad and doesn’t tell any detail about the show. Only entering the page can tell what is going on and what is the interesting thing.

Self-Introduction(v1.0)
My name is Bill. I live in Taipei and my home is not far from school. It takes me only 20minutes to drive to school so I consider that maybe I can go home every day this semester. I have a brother, who is 6 years younger than me.
I studied at ChanKuo Senior High School. I didn't do it well on my Joint Collage Entrance Exam, so I entered Mechanical Engineering Department of National Taiwan University . After studing one year, I found out that I wasn't interested in it at all. I talked to my parents about going to study medical school and they both encouraged me to do it. Life in the cram school was not easy but I told myself I would make through it . I did very well on my interview which was taken by teachers in ChangGung University. When I found my name on the entrance list on the Internet, I was very happy.
That is my learning progress.
